The Nevermore3D Scorch is a highly microporous zeolite-based adsorption medium reinforced with potassium permanganate (KMnO?) and specially developed to effectively neutralise 3D printing emissions. Instead of merely binding harmful VOCs such as styrene - which is particularly common in ABS and ASA filaments - it chemically converts them into harmless potassium benzoate (a food additive).
Optimised filtration for high temperatures
Scorch was specially developed for the requirements of heated 3D printing chambers. While conventional activated carbon filters start to lose efficiency at temperatures above 50 °C and lose much of their performance above 60 °C, this medium remains heat-resistant and highly effective. The process is therefore not impaired by high temperatures, but actually accelerated, making it perfect for heated print chambers!
Colour change for timely replacement of the medium
The material offers a practical colour change function: it changes from bright purple to matt grey as soon as it is used up - so you always know exactly when it is time for a change!
Optimum carbon/scorch mixing ratios depending on the temperature
The best combination depends on the pressure chamber temperature:
