Recommended print settings:
- Nozzle temperature: 280 - 300°C
- Heating bed temperature: 25 - 50°C (do not exceed 50°C)
- Installation space temperature: 25 - 50°C (do not exceed 50°C)
- Printing speed: 60 mm / s
- Fan: OFF
The print settings are based on a printer with a 0.4 mm nozzle and are reference values only.
Print bed
PolyMide ? PA6-GF can be printed on almost any surface with a thin layer of PVA adhesive or Magigoo PA. We recommend a flexplate to facilitate removal of the model from the plate.
Nozzle
PolyMide ? PA6-GF contains 25% chopped glass fibres, which makes it very abrasive. It is important to use an abrasion resistant nozzle.
PolyMide ? PA6-GF can easily damage a brass nozzle after several hundred grams of printing. Hardened nozzles are more expensive than conventional brass nozzles. Therefore, it is important to consider the amount of materials to use.
Hot-End
Polymaker recommends a full-metal hot-end that maintains a stable temperature of at least 280°C.
Annealing the components
Polymaker recommends curing all models made with PolyMide ? PA6-GF. This allows the user to utilize the full mechanical and thermal properties of this material. During annealing, the model is placed in an oven at 90°C for 2 hours.
