The most popular nozzles are still made of brass. Why? Because the material is fairly cheap and has many positive characteristics.

Brass is a great material that can be used to make high-precision nozzles. It is an excellent conductor of heat and does not corrode. It offers the best conditions for the most commonly used materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG and many more and is wonderful to work with.

Unfortunately, brass reaches its limits when it comes to materials with abrasive particles. Metal, wood, carbon or glow-in-the-dark filaments are too much for a brass nozzle to handle.

Nevertheless, the brass nozzles remain our absolute all-rounders and are to every printer what the lightsaber is to Luke Skywalker.
