The Alveo3D Filter P4D sets new standards in air filtration for FDM 3D printers. With an efficiency of 99.995% for the most penetrating particle sizes (MPPS) of 0.3 ¦Ìm, this HEPA14 filter is one of the best in its category. Compared to HEPA13 filters, the P4D offers superior particle filtration and thus ensures a clean working environment.
Tip: The filter also contains activated carbon granules made from coconut shells with a size of 1 to 3 mm.
Handling instructions:
- Care must be taken when handling the filter. Damage to the white, pleated surface of the HEPA14 filter may affect its effectiveness.
- Be sure to wear gloves when changing the filter and dispose of it in the zip bag provided, as saturated filters are not recyclable.
- Filter life depends on several factors, including the type of filament used, melting temperature, concentration of nanoparticles and VOCs, and the relative humidity in your work area.
- To ensure best performance, it is recommended that the housing support for the filter be no smaller than 156mm x 156mm, as excessive compression could distort the geometry of the frame.
It is recommended to replace the filter after 4 months of intensive use and after 8 months of occasional use.
